Who We Are

Smallwood Flooring was founded in 2016 by William Smallwood, right here in Charlotte. There's no call center and no sales floor — just a small crew of people who take pride in doing flooring work the right way, one house at a time.

We don't have a storefront, and that's on purpose. Instead of paying for a showroom, we come to you: every estimate is a free, in-home visit by appointment, so you can see samples against your own walls and lighting before deciding on anything.

We're proud to be a newer name in Charlotte, with a 5.0 rating from the homeowners we've worked with so far. We'd rather earn trust one job at a time than make big claims about being the biggest or the oldest.

What Makes Us Different

We keep our focus narrow on purpose — hardwood (including engineered hardwood and refinishing), carpet, and luxury vinyl plank. That's it. Staying focused means we actually know these products well instead of stretching thin across everything under the sun.

From older brick-ranch homes to new-construction slab houses in the growing subdivisions around Charlotte, every home has its own quirks. We plan around them instead of surprising you with them mid-project.
